Free Zone Trade Agreement with ECC

In 2008 Tunisia became the first African country to offer a Free Trade environment with ECC after having experienced during the last 12 years a progressive period of customs reduction tariffs, legal and administrative improvements to meet European standards at various economical levels.

Easy Customs procedures

Tunisian Customs has created an attractive environment where manufacturing operators are benefiting from simplified import/export customs process enabling anticipated clearance. Upon consolidation closing, shipper’s export invoices and EURO 1 are transmitted to Tunis to prepare anticipated clearance. Row materials are collected in Europe during the week, carried to Tunisia during the week end ; arriving at Tunis on Sunday night / Monday morning for delivery to the manufacturers latest on Tuesday evening / Wednesday morning. Products are collected between Friday morning and Saturday late afternoon for export to Europe during the week end. Delivery in Europe has to take place early the week after. Export invoices and EURI 1 certificates are collected and transmitted to MRS or GEN/LIV latest Saturday morning to process import clearance.
